Terms of Service

By accessing and using the Hill Work Skills Australia website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Hill Work Skills Australia provides career support services including resume writing, cover letter development, LinkedIn optimisation, interview preparation coaching, reference validation, and career strategy sessions.

All services are provided by Martyn Hill, a recruitment professional with nearly 15 years of experience in the mining and resources sector.

Services are tailored to the individual client and are based on the information you provide about your experience and goals.

While our services are designed to improve how your experience is presented and increase your chances of being shortlisted, we do not guarantee employment outcomes.

A well-written resume improves your chances of getting noticed, but hiring decisions are made by employers based on many factors beyond your application.

Payment is required in full before work commences, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

If you are not satisfied with a service, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We are committed to working with you to resolve concerns and will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not available for services where significant work has been completed and delivered.

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information about your work history, qualifications, and experience.

You are responsible for reviewing draft documents and providing timely feedback.

You agree to respond to communications within a reasonable timeframe to avoid delays in service delivery.

Documents created for you — including resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles — are provided for your personal use in job applications.

You may not resell, redistribute, or use our services commercially without written permission.

Templates, methodologies, and processes used by Hill Work Skills remain our intellectual property.

We treat all information you share with us as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Your resume and personal documents are used solely for the purpose of providing your requested service.

Hill Work Skills Australia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Hill Work Skills offers candidate-led verification checks through Refereez, a third-party provider. These checks are initiated by you, the candidate, and are intended to support your job search.

Candidate-initiated checks may not replace an employer’s own recruitment, compliance or site-access process.

Completion of a check does not guarantee employment, interviews, site access, employer acceptance, or compliance acceptance.

Verification applies only to the specific item and date shown. Expired checks must be renewed.

Referee participation is voluntary and completion cannot be guaranteed.

Employers may choose not to accept candidate-supplied checks.

Refereez operates as the verification and reference-checking engine underneath Hill Work Skills. Refereez is a separate organisation with its own terms.

Before any Refereez operation, you must give explicit consent. Consent is versioned and a snapshot of the consent text is stored.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal blocks future requests where operationally possible but does not falsify or erase required transaction records.

Hill Work Skills does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or timeliness of Refereez services.

You may optionally create a secure, expiring link to share selected sections of your career record.

Sharing is optional. You choose which sections to include. Referee contact details and detailed reference responses are never shared.

Each shared item displays its actual evidence status. The Career Passport is not labelled “verified” unless each item identifies its verification status.

Career Passport sharing may be disabled by configuration until tested.

Refund and incomplete-check policies for each Job Readiness package are specified in the package configuration at the time of purchase.

Where a referee does not respond, replacement-referee workflows may be available where configured by the package policy.

Hill Work Skills does not promise check completion where a referee does not respond.

Refunds for incomplete checks are handled according to the specific package refund policy.

Employers are not obligated to accept candidate-supplied verification checks.

Hill Work Skills and Refereez do not guarantee employer acceptance, compliance acceptance, or site access.

Verification results reflect the specific item and date shown and do not imply ongoing suitability.
